busy week.

music trader flooded yesterday, and we were closed all day.
we're moving into our new place tomorrow.
i hate taco bell. 85% of the time i go there, my order gets messed up and im miserable. and usually hungry 2 hours later.

No one is getting rich off this show so keep the comments of “insert band here” is only doing this for money to yourself. This is about a book my friend has written and other friends have agreed to play. This is a one-time deal so enjoy the moment because it will not happen again.

All money after expenses will be directed toward the two benefactors we have chosen.

No, Universal Order of Armageddon is not playing.

I do not have the exact day set for each band and what time they is playing. A website will have all that information the week of the show.

There will be no barrier at the club, but that does not mean you can be an idiot and wreck the place. Respect this club’s willingness to do the show whose history of bands on their stage have ranged from Bob Dylan to Slayer to Oasis to Metallica. The list is endless for punk and hardcore bands as well.

Please do not buy a ticket if you do not plan on attending the show. We have decided to release the info well in advance of the show so people can prepare to attend. I have included a 4 ticket limit per house hold as well to insure no one is wasting our time in buying 9 tickets and only two of their friends actually attend.

Please do not PM asking if your band could play or why I did not dig up some losers that put a 7 inch out in a paper bag back in 94.

by the way, the rest of europe was awesome. i didnt get peed on again (that i know of). the one thing that sucked a lot was my $995 phone bill. im planning on typing up my tour journal in the next week or so, so ill post that with pictures.

what a surprise, i havent kept up with something that i started.

Today has been the worst so far. I woke up and that that I posted a
picture of earlier had pissed all over my sleeping bag, and I had to
throw it away. We were supposed to meet up with the other van at 9 to
start the drive, but we didn't get together till after 11. So I've
been in the back of the van for 6 hours and we still have another 2
and a half. The a/c is broken and I'm sweating like a pig. It's so
humid and I feel really gross. Hopefully we make it to the show
tonight and we have a great time. I guess there are supposed to be
some Americans at this show.

We stopped here (still on Angouleme) on our way to Spain to take a
group photo. We were standing on a cliff about 70 feet above the
ground overlooking the city. The show we're playing is a matinée, so
hopefully we can do some walking around the city since we didn't get
to do that too much yesterday.

This is the river right outside the venue we played at last night in
Nantes' France. At night, all the rings light up in different colors.
It's pretty cool. It was only our second show, but the reactions have
been great. So far, we've made over $550, and that's just from merch.
Last night we got to stay in a hotel, and I got an actual bed. We are
stuck in traffic on our way to the next city we're playing. Angouleme,
here we come.

The entire town is reminding everyone of hot fuzz.

i am sitting in a house in Merbeck, Germany. population 200. i have been keeping a detailed account of everything in my tour journal. i will either re-type it all or scan it in an post the whole thing in my terrible handwriting. our flight got in 2 hours late and there was a 3 hour drive from Frankfurt to Merbeck. we are just hanging out today and going to the Netherlands. Our first show is tomorrow. and hopefully i can get more than 3.5 hours of sleep tonight.

im waiting for chad to pick me up, then were going to get joe. then we all head up to LAX, and wait around for our flight to leave.

i am still sick.

i woke up 2 days ago with a little tickle in my throat. yesterday, my throat was sore and i was coughing. today i just feel terrible. im trying super hard to kick this thing before i leave on monday.

i forgot to mention in my first post that rad had a really good set too. that was the first time that i had heard them. they did a fugazi cover.

i got back to san diego yesterday morning at 3:15 AM. i ate at the mission, sipz, and pokez yesterday. not bad.

i started work again today after a nice 4 day weekend. im bummed to be back. back to buying sublime cds. back to selling horrible pepper and slightly stoopid cds to horrible people. damn.

i was in santa barbara for the 3rd annual sound and fury. new venue. new city. it was fun, i had a good time. i would say that my favorite sets were from lewd acts, end of a year, robot whales, and staring problem. but the best set out of the whole weekend had to belong to spanish bombs. that band had such a good stage presence and so much energy. they killed it. new favorite band? i picked up an ep that they had, as well as a new demo that was just recorded (including an excellent christian death cover). after the lewd acts set, i got dehydrated and threw up all over one of the planters. somebody yelled "booze cruise '08" at me. check out all the bands i just mentioned. i spent too much money for someone who is going to europe for a month.


shit. i leave for europe in 6 days. for 20 days. will i make it back? will i want to come back?

i guess ill be using this as sort of a tour journal while im gone. but then again, i might not.

alright. this is my first post. i created this a few weeks ago, and wasn't really sure what i was going to do with it. i still dont know, but i figured it was time to start doing something with it. i dont know how frequently i will be updating this, its just something for me to kill time with. there probably won't be any rhyme or reason within each entry.
